Dusk on the Edge of the Wahiba Desert

With the Eastern Hajar mountains running south along the coast and numerous traditional villages and verdant 'wadis' between the mountains and the Wahiba Sands Desert to the West, the Sharquiya offers much for visitors who want to experience some of Oman's most dramatic scenery and get a real feel for Oman. Whilst there is some obvious development going on, much of the region is essentially as it has been for many years and people lead a largely traditional way of life.

Our Northern itinerary takes in the best of Northern Oman, including the Sharquiya and is a fully guided trip taking 3 or 4 nights, with nights spent in our camps in both the Wahiba and Jebel.

Both the Wahiba and Jebel can also be visited by those wanting to drive themselves, or as part of a guided foray into the interior of Oman.
